Terry Wilke LCSW is an experienced child/teen/adult psychotherapist who has been licensed in California since 1991 (license LCSW 16481). Prior to starting her private practice in 2003, Terry worked with several medical groups including Scripps Clinic Medical Group in San Diego. She currently maintains working relationships with many of its pediatricians and family practice doctors. Terry Wilke LCSW is an active member of the California Society of Clinical Social Work (CSCSW) and the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and adheres to the NASW Code of Ethics. Terry is experienced and trained in Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness skills. Psychotherapy services combine approaches that are developmentally and individually appropriate for children, teens, and adults. Terry specializes in thorough ADHD assessments that include a classroom observation, teacher interview, parent interview, child interview, review of ADHD questionnaires, and attendance at IEP and 504 meetings if needed. Terry is available to conduct fun, interactive, and educational parent and child workshops for your school, church, club, business or other organization. Topics include Help Your Child Improve Attention, Help Your Child Improve Self Esteem, Help Your Child Manage Anger, and Help Your Child Worry Less. Office Hours: Monday-Thursday 10am - 8pm Mondays (office) Tuesday-Thursday (telehealth video) After Hours Crisis Services: Voicemail greeting and auto reply email give crisis information such as directions to phone 911 for medical or psychiatric emergencies, and the 24 hour Crisis Line at 888-724-7240 or the Warm Line at 800-930-9276 for non-crisis after hours calls. Voicemail/Email/Texts Policy: Because of the requirement to provide crisis information, TEXT COMMUNICATION IS PROHIBITED. Phone/voicemail is the preferred form of communication. After hours phone calls are returned the next day. Email communication is strictly reserved for scheduling and other non-clinical matters. Emails are returned within 2 business days.
